The gentlemen is correct, we (traveler team)do not have a monitoring tool or script currently for any of our versions. Out best case scenario is to clear out the logs, start it up when its running great do a tell traveler systemdump. Save off all the logs and use as a benchmark.
With that said, they are 3rd party apps out there for monitoring as stated. And I particularly like that one.
On another note, 1000 users is not a small environment and if you intend to go to 4000, then theres something you should consider. 2boxes
RAM on the box - at least 32Gigs
OS - at least 64 bit
CPU's - at least 4
http active threads 1.2 times number of devices
traveler max memory 1.5 times number of devices.
